The exciting Latino Basketball Showcase will be held on Saturday, March 23rd @ South Mountain Community College. This event will feature (3) exciting all-star games in a showcase format. There will be a game for top Latino middle-school prospects, followed by a game for the top underclassman Latino prospects and followed up by a game for the top Latino senior prospects. The Latino community will be celebrated through this event, and provide opportunities for Latino basketball prospects that really need the exposure for an opportunity to play college basketball. Now that the high school season has been officially over, it is nice to reflect on the season that we just witnessed in the Arizona basketball community, as this was certainly a season to remember, forever. Pima Community College (28-4) and Chandler-Gilbert JC (27-5) both had terrific junior college seasons this year, as both programs competed hard with one another all season long – from the start of the season to the exciting finish. With both programs actually finishing with a tie for their conference season record, but Chandler-Gilbert earned the #1 seed on points. The wait is finally over for PHH Prep’s gifted 6-foot-8, 190-pound senior forward Jinup Dobuol, as he has now decided on a college program for himself. Dobuol received his nice share of college recruitment throughout his senior season while at PHH Prep, and reeled in numerous offers as a result. With many options on the table for himself, in the end, he chose to stay out West and give a commitment to the University of Portland in the West Coast Conference.
