ACCAC Basketball Players of the Week – 12/11

The 2018-2019 junior college basketball season is now in full swing and is taking shape.  Arizona Preps will be covering the season this year and will be bringing you coverage of the games, top performers and Players of the Week each week during the season.

Phoenix College Scottsdale Junior College (5-1, 8-3) is now the hottest team in the conference - winning their last (5) games in a row, and now taking over first place in the conference.  First-year Head Coach Duane Eason and his Phoenix College team are in first place among Division-II teams in the ACCAC, and in first place overall in the conference.

Chandler-Gilbert and Pima JC are tied for second place among Division-II schools with a 4-2 conference record.

Arizona Western and Cochise JC are currently tied for first place among Division-I programs in the conference with a 4-2 record.

Here are this week's Players of the Week in the ACCAC for the week of 12/11 . . .

ACCAC D-I Player of the Week: Mahki Morris - Soph. Guard - Cochise College
Morris averaged 23 points last week, while shooting 64.0% from the field and 64.3% from 3-point range, while leading Cochise in two ACCAC conference wins this past week and a 9-3 overall record this season.
ACCAC D-II Player of the Week: Kendrick Williams - Soph. Guard - Chandler-Gilbert Community College
Williams (pictured) averaged 30.5 points per/game last week.  He also collected 9 rebounds per/contest, while shooting 64.7% from the field and 54.5% from the 3-pont range - leading Chandler-Gilbert to a 1-1 record last week in ACCAC games and a 9-3 overall record this season.
