On the campus of Arizona State, the 6A State Championship game between Desert Vista and Mountain Pointe High School took place. Both programs have had very strong seasons and were set for an excellent match-up in the final - one of the very best rivalries in the state .

To begin the game, Desert Vista came out focused and ready to go, as they jumped out to an early 10-2 lead.

Mountain Pointe was able to knock down some shots of their own, and got it down to 14-7 with 3:45 to go in the 1st quarter.

In the third quarter, Mountain Pointe did their best to chip away, but couldn’t seem to get the game within single-digits, as Desert Vista responded every time and they held a 56-45 lead after three quarters.

It was much of the same story in the 4th, as Desert Vista controlled the tempo and pace of the game, and they were able to run away with it, as they eventually won 75-55 to become the 2020 6A State Champions.
