Post The Best In The Business

This weekend, Higley High School's rising superstar 6-foot-10 sophomore forward Shon Robinson took center stage in the exciting Main Event tournament. While leading his team, Jamar Murray Elite, to the championship of the 16U Division in the tournament, Robinson proved to be the top overall player and prospect in the tournament.

When we last spoke of Robinson, he was just getting his feet wet in the state and also looking to make a name for himself. Now the gifted and tall prospect has more then done that, and this weekend the large crowd in attendance got to catch a good glimpse of his superior talent. Robinson is a long, and lengthy combo-forward prospect that is still growing a great deal. No matter how tall he grows to be, Robinson looks like he will only continue to play the wing position over time. He has tremendous versatility as a player and is capable of scoring inside and out. Robinson's length allows him to block/change shots consistently as well - making him a capable imposing defender on the floor. He also rebounds outside of his area on the floor, another very nice attribute.

Currently, Robinson possesses offers from such schools as Florida State, DePaul, UTEP and Grand Canyon already in the early stages of his college recruitment. Look for many high-major college programs to begin to scour after this young man, as he is definitely an elite-high major division-I prospect over time. Robinson is part of a tremendous 2020 class in Arizona that includes Kyree Walker (Arizona State commit), Niko Mannion and also Jason Harris - proving that the state of Arizona is truly loaded with top-rated talent now. Gone are the days of one top prospect in the state. Today, the state is filled with high-major prospects at every age group, and Shon Robinson is among the headliners of the entire group.

I look forward to continuing to watch Robinson develop over the next couple years, as this young man is something to behold.
