Post Trent Brown Pours In 53 In Loss @ Prime Time Event
on: June 17, 2018, 00:34

During the busy playing month of June, 6A state champion Pinnacle High School will be without the services of star guard Nico Mannion, who is in Italy for the month. In his absence, sharp-shooting 6-foot-1 rising senior point guard Trent Brown has an opportunity to showcase just how good he is. On Saturday evening in this weekend's championship game of the Monarch Sports Prime Time Basketball Tournament, Brown proved his value - scoring a ridiculous game-high 53 points in his team's narrow loss to Perry High School.

In the loss, Brown connected on (10) three-pointers in the game - proving just how good of a shooter he is, which has numerous college programs in the hunt for him this July. Brown has grown physically over the past year and is now set to have a big summer performance for himself. Brown missed much of the high school season this past year due to a back injury, but returned late in the season, just in time to help his team to a state championship.

Brown currently has offers on the table for himself from University of Illinois-Chicago, Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona and Houston Baptist heading into July.

Arizona's 2019 class of prospects is very talented and Brown emerged early as a college prospect, after starting consistently at the varsity level as a freshman. Brown is set to have a stellar high school basketball career, as he will finish as a four-year starter for one of the elite programs in the state of Arizona.

I will be keeping a close eye on Brown this summer, and bring you any recruiting updates on him as they continue to develop.

Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Brown is a sharp-shooting guard prospect that excels in his ability to shoot the basketball with excellent range on his shot, while also being able to make players around him better. Trent is a floor general with the basketball in his hands and enjoys playing on the big stage. He is a leader with the basketball and is vocal on the floor - something not seen often by young men his age. He advances the basketball up the floor with the pass, and does not mind defensive pressure of opposing guards. A very good ball handler and passer that enjoys getting teammates involved in the play. A good defender. A tough customer as well, Brown is a solid overall prospect with a nice overall skillset. The son of an experienced college player/coach, Mark Brown.
