One of the top overall prospects in Arizona's 2019 class is just beginning to make a name for hismelf on the AAU/club circuit. Westview High School's 6-foot-10, 220-pound junior post Cameron Katal is one of the top rising prospects in the state. Katal is a nice prospect with excellent size and length. Here is my take on Katal and why I consider him to be a nice up-and-coming prospect for the future.

In the state of Arizona, post players are a rare find these days. Bigger post prospects are rare find today, but Katal is one player that has improved a great deal over the last year and now he has developed into a serious prospect for the near future.

Katal currently is playing for The Factory, coached by Kenny Mullins. The team is very talented and features such top-rated prospects as Emmanuel Taban from Apollo HS. Katal is just beginning to make a name for himself and is quickly rising up the charts from a recruiting standpoint.

I recently watched Katal play recently this spring, and came away very impressed with this young man's ability to play the game. Katal has very good size overall and has also really grown over the past year, which has suited him nicely. Today Katal is a rising prospect in the class, that has the potential to become a division-I prospect over time.

This past season, Katal led Westview High School to a 17-10 overall record on the season. He was good in his ability to produce last season - averaging 10.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per/contest. I expect Katal to continue to carry this performance to the spring evaluation period and develop as a player and as a college prospect.

Currently the 2019 class of prospects has several post players i nthe class. Led by Bella Vista's 7-foot-1 junior post Rick Issanza and Hillcrest Prep 6-foot-8 junior post JB Mukeba, Katal has a chance to become one of the top overall post prospects in the class. He definitely has the size and the length do so. This spring evaluation period will be big for Katal to develop into the player that he has the potential to become.

Katal will continue to travel with The Factory this spring, and will look to develop himself into one of the better prospects in the class.

I will continue to follow the recruitment and development of Katal closely over the next 6 months, and will look to see just how much he continues to develop as a college prospect.
