Hamilton Wins On The Road @ Perry

Tuesday evening in a 6A Premier Section match-up, Perry High School (11-13) had a home game against Hamilton HS (15-7), which is one of the tougher 6A match-ups in the state this season.

To start the game, Perry threw the first punch and got out to a 9-3 run to start the game. Hamilton was able to get going and battled back, but Perry would hold on to a small two-point lead, as they were up 14-12 with 2 minutes to go. Hamilton was able to make some plays late in the quarter, and ended the quarter with a 16-15 first quarter lead.

Hamilton continued to play well in the 2nd quarter and extended their lead to as much as (8) points with a 25-17 lead. They ended up going into the half with a 32-26 lead.

To start the third quarter, Hamilton came out with the hot hand and they went on a run to stretch their lead early on in the half, and ended up finishing the third quarter with a 48-39 lead.

Perry was able to chip away in the 4th, as they got it within four points, as it was 52-48 with two minutes to go in the game. Perry wasn’t able to complete a comeback and Hamilton ended up winning the game, 58-50.

Hamilton High School improved to 15-7 overall and 3-3 in the 6A's Premier Section. Perry High School is now 11-13 and 1-6 in the 6A's Premier Section.

Hamilton was led by Jamar Brown (pictured) and Andrew Hinkle. Perry was led in the contest by sophomore post Dylan Anderson and J Moreland.
