Agua Fria High School's 6-foot-5 senior wing Bryce Fowler recently received a nice scholarship offer for himself after an official recruiting visit to a Big Sky program. The offer was too much to pass up, so Fowler gave a commitment on Wednesday to Sacramento State.
Fowler really took advantage of the club season, as he boosted his college recruitment with numerous strong performances for himself against out-of-state competition. Fowler proved that he was a strong shooter of the basketball and had a nice overall skillset. Fowler proved himself enough to earn a division-I scholarship offer.
Fowler played this club season for Team Zona - organized and coached by local basketball coach Sal Garcia, a nice developer of talent and an excellent promoter of Arizona basketball talent.
Last season Fowler broke out, as he helped lead Agua Fria HS to an amazing 28-3 overall record on the season, and a state championship runner-up performance. Fowler averaged 14.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per/game.
Look for Fowler to have a big senior season for Agua Fria this season, as the teams looks to build on a record season last year.
Congratulations to Fowler on this amazing accomplishment, and also congratulations to Agua Fria HS head coach Randy Lavender and to Sal Garcia and the Team Zona club program.
Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report: Fowler is a sharp-shooting wing prospect with a nice shooting stroke with unlimited range on his shot and a quick release. He has very good size for the wing position and excellent potential for the future. He also has a very good overall skill level, which allows him to make plays for himself off the dribble - an area of his game that he has become much more confident in. Plays with a high level of confidence. Needs to continue to develop his mid-range game, which is solid already. A solid rebounder. Good ball handler and passer. As he matures physically he should see his game really progress. A nice looking prospect with good upside.
